I have been witness to some odd things in my life. One would be men saying silly yet weird things when they go up to women. There are a lot of things not to say to girls, but of course you listen to your friends advice which they most likely don't know what they are doing either. Let me tell you this, if you take someone's lame advice, you have a good chance of her flat out leaving before you finish your first sentence.
You see, cheesy pick up lines are often overused and that's why women usually hate them. If they smile when you say them, it's not because they are laughing with you, it's because they are laughing at you! If you want to pick up a girl, being sincere and real is what she is really looking for. So please right now, get it out of your head and promise yourself and me that you will never say another corny pick up line again.
Instead use some elements that you already posses to start the conversation. One would be being funny. Yea it's true a girl loves a man who is funny. No, not goofy funny. But someone who can make her smile. Cracking a joke here and there will continue to keep her on her toes and also it will make her want to spend more time with you because you make her feel GOOD! That's all they really want.
Always act as you are. Nothing is worse than being fake the first meeting. Why? Because now this is how your going to have to act all the time you see her. You have given her an expectation of what you act like and if you were faking and you get caught, your chances are done!
Always look for things that may be happening around you that you can use to break the ice. If you see something comical for example, a bird poops on a guys head (hey it happens),and you see her laughing that can be a good thing to start laughing together about and then begin an initial conversation. You see the hard part is over and that is breaking the ice. I know this is what holds most guys back but if you use these methods to overcome that obstacle, great things will happen.
